Dads Day

Description:
This two day groupwork programme was run in partnership with a Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Psychologist and Substance Misuse Officer. It included both theory and practical parenting skills.

Who the service is aimed at:
Young parents in custody.

Who the service is delivered by:
Werrington YOI Health Care Department including Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Development Manager, Clinical Psychologist and Substance Misuse Officer. It ran as a ‘one off’ course on practical parenting, with sessions developed by Sandy Hammonds and Jackie Freer, who both worked at Werrington YOI. Megan Jones, Psychologist and Mark Hilditch developed attachment sessions on day two of the course.
