Welcome to Young People in Focus
Young People in Focus (YPF) a former UK charity (1989-2011) has now closed.
Founded as the Trust for the Study of Adolescence (TSA), we helped organisations improve their services for young people and families by promoting evidence-based practice via research and evaluation, training and publications.
Use the menu (top left) to explore how you can continue to access some of our training programmes, publications and free resources.
Did you know that ... ?
This website contains several specialist microsites (see left panel). The Supporting Young Fathers microsite has information for professionals working with young parents, and the microsite Services for Young Adults features six case studies of promising practice.

Comments from funders, commissioners and customers:
'We are so sorry that YPF has had to take the difficult decision to close. It's a real loss to the sector and a great shame that young people are losing such powerful, thoughtful advocates' - Barrow Cadbury Trust
'We are extremely grateful for YPF's work on the Juvenile Awareness Staff Programme (JASP). It has always been a pleasure to work with you.' - National Offender Management Service
‘Young People in Focus has made a really important contribution to understanding of the issues facing young dads, and how to support them… and that will not be lost. Your microsite is fantastic.’ – Fatherhood Institute
‘Working with Young People In Focus made me realise why they were called such a name, they really do include young people right at the heart of everything they do… we were trained up to be Young Researchers. This was a real bonus as our skills could be used later on too!’ – Rohim Mohammed, Sandwell Young Advisers
