The course covers:
- The issues which can affect young women who are pregnant and the fathers (partners) in their decision on whether to continue the pregnancy
- The issues which may help or hinder young people’s ability to cope with pregnancy or parenthood
- The concerns about the potential poor outcomes for children of teenage mothers.
- Enabling young people to explore their feelings about pregnancy and the decisions they face.
- The types of information and range of support that these young people may require to improve outcomes for them and/or their children
- How and when to access local arrangements for providing co-ordinated support for these young people within the boundaries of own role and remit.
