There is a growing concern about the number of young people who present with self-harming behaviour. This one-day course will consider key issues in relation to self-harm and young people, and will give an overview of current research and knowledge on the subject. It is suitable for many professionals who want to achieve a greater understanding of the issues for young people around self- harming and effective strategies for working with them.
The course covers:

- Information and research
- Issues, causes, reasons
- Risk factors
- Strategies and techniques for working with young people
- Issues for workers and agencies

Individuals and small voluntary organisations: £125
