Young People and Self-Harm

There is a growing concern about the number of young people who present with self-harming behaviour. This one-day course will consider key issues in relation to self-harm and young people, and will give an overview of current research and knowledge on the subject. It is suitable for many professionals who want to achieve a greater understanding of the issues for young people around self- harming and effective strategies for working with them.

The course covers:

  • Understanding self-harm
  • Information and research
  • Issues, causes, reasons
  • Risk factors
  • Strategies and techniques for working with young people
  • Issues for workers and agencies

Fees:
Statutory, independent and large voluntary organisations: £155
Individuals and small voluntary organisations: £125
Young People in Focus standard cancellation charges apply.
