It will explore the factors influencing the young people’s recovery and consider helpful ways to respond to young people.
The course covers:
- Feelings raised by child abuse
- The impact of abuse and long term consequences
- Behaviours indicating distress and vulnerability
- Characteristics of the protective adult
- Strategies to assist recovery
- Helpful ways to respond
- Addressing the consequences of abuse
